Hoggan Family Tree

The Hoggan family was here on the Island as earily as the 1850's. William, Walter and David Hoggan left Glasgow, Scotland to join the Gold Rush only to find when they arrived that the Gold Rush was over. Walter left his two brothers to become a Morrmon, while William and David continued on to Nanaimo. While traveling around by canoe they came across Gabriola and fell in love with the island. Alexander another brother came much later to Cape Breton. He them married a pretty young lady he met on his way over.
